Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

We got our first snow of the season last night. Too bad it happened while I was asleep. I got to see a few flurries when I was waiting for the shuttle after work. There wasn't much and it was pretty much gone by the time I left for work (just a little bit on D's car and on some rooftops). I've always loved the first snowfall of the season. I just hope this winter isn't too bad. People around here don't remember how to drive in the snow and I actually have to get on the highway to get to work now. I love when we get a big snow storm on a weekend and you can stay cuddled up in bed with that special someone. Let's keep our fingers crossed for at least one weekend like that this winter!

Halloween Surprise

D. surprised me at work on Halloween with a cookie bouqet. He spent his whole lunch hour picking it up and delivering it to work. He even got to bring it down into the dungeon we call a laboratory. I was at lunch at the time so I missed seeing him. I would have loved being able to see him in the middle of the day. I walked around work with a goofy grin the rest of the day. It nice to know that somebody cares about me so much that they'll take valuable time out of their day just to make me smile.

Who's who at the zoo....

In case somebody that doesn't know me wanders by, here's some background on myself and the other cast of characters you'll see mentioned.

J - this is me. I'm a 26 year old working in a hospital lab. It can be stressful at times (esp. with flu season coming) but I like it for the most part.

D - my boyfriend. We've been together for a year and 9 months and living together for the past year. He's my sexy monkey (hence the title of the blog). D works with computers and is in the process of finishing up his bachelor's degree.

Krazy Kats - D and I own 4 cats between us. They keep life interesting.

Fuzz Butt - D's very furry dog. Never get a very furry long haired dog if you ever want to wear black.

There are other characters that I'll introduce later on. These are the main characters living here in the zoo with me.

Another one bites the dust...

Well, I've decided to join the popular world of blogging. I never thought I'd do this but I needed a way to keep all our family and friends from out of state updated on our lives. It gets hard trying to remember who you told what to. This way, if something exciting happens, I can post it here and people can update themselves.

Another reason I wanted to start a blog is to help with my scrapbooking. I've been into scrapbooking for a little over a year now and lots of scrappers seen to have blogs. There was even an article in one of the scrapping magazines about it. People say that it can help with the journaling and since journaling is my major roadblock, I thought maybe this would help. Time will tell.
