On Saturday...
D. and I finally went out last night. We haven't done anything b/c he's so busy with school work.
My favorite band, The Clarks, were in town last night. They're a Pittsburgh band that is really popular back home. Luckily, they come here twice a year so I don't have to make a 4 hour trip to see them. They usually play at a smaller venue but this time, they were at a much larget place last night.
D. worked really hard all week to get all his papers done so we'd be able to go. We wanted our friend R. to come along too and he was being whiney saying he was tired so we showed up at his house and told him he was coming. We got there a little bit before 10:00 and the place was packed! I couldn't believe how many people were there. We found an awesome spot to watch not far from the stage (one of the great things about loving a local band; its not hard to get a good viewing spot).
The show was as great as ever. I love the energy at their concerts. Everybody in the crowd sings along and the guys always seem to be having the time of their lives. I kinda had 3 red bulls and vodka so the last third of the show was kind of a blur but it was great. We were leaving and the bassist, Greg Joseph (he has a solo album coming out in May; check him out) was up front by the door so I got him to sign my CD. Figures I decided to leave the camera at home.
Anyway, I had so much fun last night. I didn't realize how much I needed a night out. I'm already counting down the days until their next stop in town.

Sounds fun! I can't remember the last time I saw a live band.
